It seems that someone has finally invented the car that can drive you home. While not exactly Kitt from Knight Rider, this modified VW Passat is an ultra-expensive car coming in at a cool £1 million to develop and produce. The car has laser-guided "eyes" that sense its position and take action should it encounter potholes, buildings and hopefully pedestrians. It is steered by computer...Dubbed the Lux, the car will even pull up from its parking place to collect you from the pub! At the moment the car is on show at the Science Museum...

First it was the slow disappearance of red telephone booths, now one of London's icons - the black cab - may also be on the way out.
London Taxis International, the manufacturer of the black cabs, say strict new car emissions laws issued by the European Union could be the death knell for the vehicles.

Airline Routes Added from London Stansted to Turkey

SunExpress, Turkey’s leading low cost scheduled airline that was founded as a joint venture by Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, is to launch two new routes on Saturday 28 April from London Stansted to Izmir (Turkey) and Ercan (Northern Cyprus).
The new twice-weekly scheduled services will link London to Izmir, which is Turkey’s third largest city, second largest port, and the gateway to the Aegean Coast. Ercan is the international airport that serves the resorts and towns in Northern Cyprus.

Production at Coventry has been increased to meet demand
Black cab firm London Taxis International (LTI) have reported a big increase in sales of their new model.
Figures from The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders show 469 new TX4 taxis were sold in March, 37% more than the previous year.

The prime London market achieves record price growth, while the South East drives the momentum in the prime country market, according to Primelocation.com. Prime London property for sale achieved 27.4% annual rise in average sales prices...
Despite a seasonal increase of stock in the market for prime London property for sale, it is not significant enough to halt the record-breaking price growth witnessed across the capital, with Central London prices up almost 30% and North West London prices up a staggering 37.5%, says this article from Easier.com
