        What do you think about the bandha shown by NRIs (especially yankee land returns) when they come to Chennai?

        Can you site interesting instances of such banda/show offs, and how to deal with them?

        Avanga tholla thanga mudiyala...so much, I prefer to "meet" most of the non respectable indians over video or chat...getting them to India make you feel as if you are living in a primitive land.. By Narsi

          If I wish to collect donations for a social service, how can I go about doing this in Chennai? Whom can I approach to start with?

          It depends on the beneficiaries you are trying to promote. Some companies have natural inclination for certain type of beneficiaries, so it is easier to convince them to play a part.

          Some of the steps that I would follow,

          1. Do a thorough research on what the target beneficiaries really need
          2. Do another study to see which industry or companies might be interested in my target causes
          3. Check with my network or friends, colleagues to get contacts from those companies who can make the difference.
          4. See the existing donation schemes with the target beneficiaries on what works and what doesn't.           By Sreejas147
