I am looking out for teachers to teach children at an orphanage in Red Hills. Does anyone know who will help me out on this or where I should seek help from?
asked on 7 months ago by sindhuja with 1 Anwers In: Jobs & Career
If they are primary/secondary kids it is best to seek College student volunteers who are major in the subjects associated. Normally the youngsters can team up with their friends and schedule weekly sessions for the children at the orphanage. They would also have a sense of giving something back to the community even when they are doing their studies. By Mychennai

Theaters in Chennai for Classic Tamil Movies
asked on 7 months ago by narsi with 3 Anwers In: Films, Music & Other EntertainmentI am not talking about box office hits...are there theaters in Chennai which are known to be more tasteful in their choice of movies, so they are selective about the movies they screen? I would especially like to watch movies that are offbeat and are more towards what are called art movies...they could be recent or old...
I'm not aware of any theatres showing offbeat tamil movies. I would be interested in watching such movies in theatres as well!!! By Venusk

It is quite a pity that our city corporation and state government is not engaged on an efficient waste management and treatment processes.
But please find below a good article by the TN govt on their theoretical front and how much of it is done really is of anybody's guess.

Getting Donations for Social Service from Chennai
asked on 6 months ago by chennaisampath with 1 Anwers In: SocietyIf I wish to collect donations for a social service, how can I go about doing this in Chennai? Whom can I approach to start with?
It depends on the beneficiaries you are trying to promote. Some companies have natural inclination for certain type of beneficiaries, so it is easier to convince them to play a part.
Some of the steps that I would follow,
1. Do a thorough research on what the target beneficiaries really need
2. Do another study to see which industry or companies might be interested in my target causes
3. Check with my network or friends, colleagues to get contacts from those companies who can make the difference.
4. See the existing donation schemes with the target beneficiaries on what works and what doesn't. By Sreejas147
