A very informative blog post providinga list of the best cardiac centers in Chennai as well with the name of the associated doctors - http://free-healthandwellnessblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/heart-hospitals-in-chennai.html)
I've heard Perambur Railway Hospital is good.
On the contrary, please do not goto Fortis Malar. Their hospitality services suck big time. I know a few ppl who had their open heart surgeries and were not attended to on their post surgical complications!
MMM is one of the best! One of my colleagues who underwent a by-pass surgery recently said that their rates are reasonable and most importantly, their post-surgery care is commendable. The next best would be MIOT hospitals @ Manapakkam. They have doctors with them who have performed more than 1500 heart operations with 95% success rates. The issue is that they are a bit far away from the city. Fortis malar Hospitals @ Adyar is also well-known for vascular surgeries. Apart from the two, there is this Railway Hospital @ Perambur, though this is not a private hospital. The treatment is very good and doctors from hospitals from MMM and Apollo consult in this hospital.
1. OPG Power Generation Pvt Ltd (OPGPG) - a 77 MW coal-based plant at Chennai
2. North Chennai Thermal Power Station - 630 MW
3. North Chennai Power Company Limited - has proposed to install a 1200 MW coal based Power Plant at North Chennai, planned to be operational by the end of 11th Five Year Plan.
I think there is only one coal power station in Chennai, the one in Ennore has a capacity of about 450 MW...Not sure if we can include the 630 MW North Chennai thermal power station @ Athipathu as it comes under the Tiruvalur district..
You can check out for places in Surapet( 10 kms from Annanagar West). Cost per sq.ft is between 1500 and 2000. I have one @ Vinayagapuram near the Surapet High Road. There is no sewerage system here yet, but the roads are good and there is a good frequency of buses. Moreover, there are share autos available from this place to Annanagar..
Toastmasters Club is one of the best for public speaking! They meet @ the Presidency Club - Ruby Hall (Near Spencer Plaza ),Ethiraj Salai between 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM every Sunday .I am not sure how much they charge.. You can contac Thanigeaswara, VP - Membership @ 91 9841205333 for more information..
I dont think it is possible to get in touch with the directors unless you already know them personally . The best way is to get in touch with co-ordinators or their secretaries. He or she can also start off by acting in short films .. If your friend is interested in starting off her career by hosting live shows in TV Channels or acting in short films, she/ he can get in touch with my friend Jaganathan in Villivakkam @ 9840647929s for more details. He is a co-ordinator cum manager for two tamil television channels..
