Theaters in Chennai for Classic Tamil Movies
asked on 7 months ago by narsi in Films, Music & Other EntertainmentI am not talking about box office hits...are there theaters in Chennai which are known to be more tasteful in their choice of movies, so they are selective about the movies they screen? I would especially like to watch movies that are offbeat and are more towards what are called art movies...they could be recent or old...

on 7 months agoWell, watching it in a theater is very different from watching it on YouTube...while yes, YT is an option, I am keen to know about theaters that screen offbeat movies...

on 7 months agoCurrently the demand for classic and off beat movies has not entered mainstream, nevertheless internet has bridged the gap in this arena. Since offbeat creations are generally for niche audience or taken on experimental basis there wouldn't be a general critical interests in this segment..
YouTube is a very good medium for offbeat movies, since they generally do not take in the mainstream 35mm format; you'll get the perfect home theater experience right out of YouTube (if taken in HD formats)
